Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment, submitting a consultation request, enrolling in a class, or using any service offered by Bamby’s Signature Textured Hair Studio (“the Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with booking.

These terms apply to all services offered at the Studio, including but not limited to hair care services, trichology consultations, and the Teen Summer Healthy Hair Class programme.

Bamby’s Signature Textured Hair Studio provides professional hair care and scalp health services, including:

• Textured hair styling, treatments, and maintenance services
• Children’s and kids’ hair care services
• Trichology scalp analysis and practitioner consultations
• Educational programmes (including the Teen Summer Healthy Hair Class)
• Virtual and in-person consultations

All services are subject to availability. The Studio reserves the right to decline or modify services where, in our professional judgment, proceeding would not be in the best interest of the Client’s hair or scalp health.

Appointments may be booked online via our scheduling system, by phone, or by submitting a consultation request through our website. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or message from the Studio.

• Please arrive on time. We reserve the right to shorten or reschedule services for late arrivals to avoid impacting other clients.
• New clients are encouraged to complete a consultation form prior to their first appointment.
• The Studio may require a deposit to secure certain bookings. Deposit policies will be communicated at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason within the bounds of applicable law.

• 48+ hours notice: Full cancellation with no charge. Any deposit will be applied to a rescheduled appointment.
• 24–48 hours notice: A cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service may apply.
• Less than 24 hours / No-show: The full service fee may be charged. Deposits are non-refundable.

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the requirement of a non-refundable deposit for all future bookings, or refusal of future service.

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without prior notice. The price in effect at the time of your booking confirmation will apply to your appointment.

• Payment is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing.
• Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.
• Gratuities are not included in service prices and are entirely at the Client’s discretion.
• All sales are final. Refunds are not provided for completed services.

To ensure the safety and best possible outcome for your appointment, you agree to disclose any relevant health conditions, scalp conditions, known allergies, recent chemical treatments, or medications that may affect your hair or scalp prior to your service.

The Studio is not liable for any adverse reactions arising from undisclosed conditions or treatments. If an allergy test is recommended before a service and you decline, you do so at your own risk.

We reserve the right to decline or modify a service if we determine, in our professional judgment, that proceeding could cause harm.

Bamby’s Signature Textured Hair Studio offers trichology services provided by a Certified Trichology Practitioner. These services involve the assessment of scalp and hair health conditions.

• Clients with serious scalp or health conditions are encouraged to seek guidance from a qualified medical professional.
• Recommendations made during a trichology consultation are based on professional assessment and the information you provide.
• Results from recommended hair care regimens vary by individual and cannot be guaranteed.

Enrolment in the Teen Summer Healthy Hair Class is subject to the following additional terms:

• Students must be within the specified age range as communicated at the time of registration.
• A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the enrolment form, emergency contact information, and consent waiver on behalf of the student.
• Enrolment fees are non-refundable after the deadline stated at the time of registration. Transfers to a future session may be accommodated at the Studio’s discretion.
• The Studio reserves the right to dismiss a student for disruptive or unsafe behaviour without a refund.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring students are collected at the designated end time. The Studio does not assume liability for students left beyond programme hours.
• Photo and media consent for students is governed by the consent section of the enrolment form and the Media section of these Terms.

The Studio may photograph or record before-and-after images of services for portfolio, educational, and marketing purposes. Your explicit consent will be sought before any images of you or your child are captured for these purposes.

• You may withdraw consent for future use of your images at any time by contacting us in writing.
• Photos submitted by clients via consultation forms (e.g., scalp or hair photos) are used solely for assessment purposes and will not be shared publicly without your consent.
• The Studio will not sell or license your images to third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bamby’s Signature Textured Hair Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• Any service rendered at the Studio
• Undisclosed health conditions, allergies, or prior treatments
• Results that vary from expected outcomes despite professional execution
• Loss or damage to personal property left unattended on the premises
• Interruptions to service beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all clients and staff. Clients are expected to treat staff and other clients with respect and courtesy at all times.

The Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any individual who is abusive, threatening, or disruptive, without refund.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia.
